Earlier today during a panel at SXSW, Hideo Kojima took the stage, also joined by Norman Reedus, Troy Baker and Woodkid and revealed a new look at the upcoming Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.
The 10+ minute trailer, which was edited by Kojima himself fit right in line with what we’ve seen in previous trailers for both the original Death Stranding, and it’s sequel. It’s full of weird but intriguing concepts, introduces even more new characters played by noteable Hollywood actors and leaves us with many more questions than answers. As well as a fairly clear nod to Kojima’s previous Metal Gear Solid titles. I’m keen to see how this new character of Neil will be used within the game. Right now, it all has me so invested in uncovering what exactly is going on after the events of the first game, where it seems we’re going to be dealing with the ramifications of connecting the world based on the ominous questions the trailer asks.
Also revealed was a look at Death Strandin 2’s Collector’s Edition which will be available for preorder starting next week on the 17th of March.
It contains a large a detailed statue of the recently revealed Magellan Man, which is sure to look amazing on any desk.
