PlayStation Plus Games For August 2018 Announced

on

The PlayStation Plus lineup of free games has been announced this morning, and it’s another month of quality titles.

Hitting the PS4 we’ll be getting:

Mafia 3

After years of combat in Vietnam, Lincoln Clay knows this truth: family isn’t who you’re born with, it’s who you die for. When his surrogate family, the black mob, is wiped out by the Italian Mafia, Lincoln builds a new family and blazes a path of military-grade revenge through the Mafioso responsible.

Dead by Daylight Special Edition

Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught, tortured and killed.

For the PS3:

Bound By Flame

Bound by Flame is Spiders latest RPG for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, set in a dark fantasy universe where seven Icelords have taken over. Vertiel is enslaved and locked in an endless winter as the Icelords drain the world’s energy.

Serious Sam 3 BFE

Sam is back for more insane run-and-gun action with mountains of bullets, hordes of enemies, and tons of fun.

And On PS Vita:

Draw Slasher

Draw Slasher tells a story of Hanzo, not-so-high ninja, whose family was abducted by Pirate Monkey Zombies™. The basic game mechanics are one-of-a-kind — honestly, I don’t think they could be any simpler. The player will tap to run, draw lines to slash, and pinch the screen to pull up the abilities menu.

Space Hulk

The legendary Space Hulk returns in this epic turn based strategy game. Set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, an intriguing story of legendary battles and heroic actions unfolds.

On top of the standard PS Plus Monthly Games, starting in August PlayStation Australia will also be re-introducing two bonus games: PS VR compatible title Here They Lie, (available between 7th August – 2nd October) and PlayLink title Knowledge is Power (available in PS Plus between 7th August – 6th November.)

Knowledge is Power is one of our favourite games in the PlayLink lineup and is a heap of fun to play if you have a few friends over. Read why we like it so much in our review here.

Knowledge Is Power

Claim your fame in a sparkling PS4 exclusive game show quiz from the growing PlayLink range. Don’t worry about your DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller – simply grab your smart device, choose from one of eight characters and snap a selfie, then enter the Pyramid of Knowledge, where you and up to five friends answer a variety of themed questions in a madcap race to its summit.

Here They Lie

Here They Lie transports you to a terrifying world from which you cannot escape. Explore a nightmarish city inhabited by strange, malevolent creatures in this ground-breaking first-person horror game on PlayStation VR.

If you haven’t checked out the current July lineup of games, be sure to add them to your library before the 8th of August to avoid missing out on some great titles.
