Rounding out the E3 announcements this year is Nintendo. As they have done for quite some time now, the announcements were presented in a Direct format. The full presentation lasted just over 40 minutes and was packed full of surprises and game updates. Check out all of the announcements from Nintendo’s E3 2019 Direct below.
Kicking off the show was a CG trailer for smash revealing the new character ‘The Hero’ from Dragon Quest XI but then the trailer continues to reveal that it’s not just The Hero from Dragon Quest XI that will be joining the roster but that The Hero can take the form of the protagonist from DRAGON QUEST XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, DRAGON QUEST III: The Seeds of Salvation, DRAGON QUEST IV: Chapters of the Chosen and DRAGON QUEST VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. Ending with the title screen revealing that this is part of the collaboration between Smash Bros and the upcoming Dragon Quest XI: Echoes Of the Elusive Age S: Definitive Edition. The new fighters will be coming Summer 2019
Next Yoshiaki Koizumi greets everyone watching the direct leading to a fantastic Doug Bowser reveal. Then We jump back into some more trailers and game reveals.
trailer sets up the haunted hotel story and shows off some of the abilities Luigi can use to defend himself from the ghosts that roam the mansion. The game will introduce Gooigi, an ectoplasm-like copy of Luigi that can be used to get through gates and spiked areas. A second player can also join the game cooperatively and play as Gooigi.
Luigi’s Mansion 3 will be available in 2019. More will be shown at Nintendo Treehouse during E3 2019.
We got a new look at the upcoming Link’s Awakening and it certainly looks incredibly vibrant and charming. Link has washed ashore on a mysterious island with strange and colourful inhabitants. To escape the island, Link must collect magical instruments and awaken the Wind Fish.
The trailer also showed off the new Dungeon Creator mode as well as the release date. The Legend Of Zelda: Link’s Awakening will launch on September 20 2019.

Final Fantasy Adventure, Secret of Mana and Trials of Mana (released for the first time out of Japan) will be coming to the Switch later today as part of the Collection of Mana. Available in the eShop.
I don’t know how they’ve done it, but the full Witcher 3 experience is making it’s way to the Nintendo Switch. Set to come out later this year.
The Latest Fire Emblem title is shown off again. The clip presents some great looking anime cutscenes and top notch English voice acting. It’s certainly a game I’ll be jumping into when it launches soon. Fire Emblem: Three Houses launches on July 26 2019 exclusively on Nintendo Switch, more will be shown at Nintendo Treehouse during E3.
Travis Touchdown returns to Santa Destroy after a 10-year absence. There he finds a huge artificial island metropolis floating in the sea, and a mysterious flying object hovering high above. The latest numbered entry in the No More Heroes series… No More Heroes 3 is coming in 2020.
Contra Rogue Corps is an over-the-top run-and-gun franchise with fast-paced, ultra-violent combat. Offering both single and multiplayer options. Check out the trailer below.

The trailers take a quick break to introduce Shinya Takahashi from Nintendo to talk a bit more about the upcoming Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield
Confirmed that the Pokeball plus can be used with Sword and Shield. Not to use as a controller but you can take a Pokemon out for a stroll with you, the same way you could with Let’s Go! Pikachu and Eevee to earn rewards.
Takahashi then revealed that a Sword and Shield demo is available to play at E3 allowing you to try and defeat the water Gym leader Nessa. More Pokemon Sword and Shield news will be available today at Nintendo Treehouse
A new trailer for Astral Chain was shown, revealing some story details, new characters and gameplay. Astral Chain will be coming August 30 2019 and there will be more at shown at Nintendo Treehouse.

This rhythmic action-adventure game is set in the world of The Legend of Zelda series. Players can explore the randomly generated overworld, as well as dungeons that change for every player as they try to save Hyrule as Link or Princess Zelda. They can use items from The Legend of Zelda series, plus spells and weapons from Crypt of the NecroDancer. By keeping the beat with 25 remixed classic tunes from The Legend of Zelda series, players must outstep legendary enemies and bosses in rhythmic combat. The game launches in Nintendo eShop in the early morning of 14th June AEST.

In a surprise announcement that shocked everyone. Nintendo have revealed that the sequel to the critically acclaimed Zelda: Breath of the Wild is being worked on. We got to see a trailer for the upcoming game, and it seems the plot for this one could be a bit darker.
