Square Enix have revealed today that they have released a brand new modding tool called Mod Organiser that will allow you to create your own mods for Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition.

About Mod Organiser

The MOD ORGANISER is a tool to help make mods for FINAL FANTASY XV WINDOWS EDITION. It allows players to convert art assets into mod data and incorporate them into the game world*. The MOD ORGANISER launches with the ability to mod characters, weapons and outfits.

By replacing existing models and their textures, players can change the looks of Noctis, Prompto, Gladiolus and Ignis, as well as the supporting cast, including the likes of Ardyn and Aranea, and the non-playable-characters met throughout their adventure.

Aside from character’s physical appearance, character outfits and costumes can also be replaced with new designs. Finally, weapons can also be modded, with the ability to create brand new weapons and set their parameters. New weapons have a 100-point distribution system to define each weapon’s abilities and performance across parameters such as Attack, Max HP, MP, Vitality and resistance to elemental magic. This parameter distribution system helps ensure in-game balance.

Pre-packaged sample 3D models allow for the fast replacement of costumes and weapons, while more advanced customisation tools for more creative mods are designed to be easy for beginners to use too.

To download the MOD ORGANISER for Windows and Origin, please visit: http://modtool.finalfantasyxv.com for Steam, the MOD ORGANISER is added to Tools on the Steam Launcher.

*MOD ORGANISER does not have the functionality for creating and editing assets such as 3D models. Assets can be created with 3D design software and outputted in FBX format to the MOD ORGANISER.

So if you’re a creative person looking for a reason to jump back into Final Fantasy XV, this may be just the thing for you.
