One of the biggest highlight for me at any MadFest event is seeing what news comes out of the AnimeLab panel. It showcases where the platform is going and also provides the reveals for what will be coming to the streaming service in the coming season.
The panel at MadFest Sydney 2019 did not disappoint. After kicking off with a montage of videos highlighting the biggest shows currently airing this season the panel shifted gear and started coming out with announcement after announcement. And there’s a lot to look forward to in the coming months on AnimeLab.
We already knew based on the initial announcement a couple of weeks back but it was again confirmed that One Punch Man Season 2 will be hitting the platform in April and will be the only place to stream it in Australia and New Zealand.
After the OPM announcement we got an exclusive video from Japanese band JAM who created the first opening theme for OPM. The video confirmed they would be coming back to produce a new original opening for season 2.
