After an initial delay last year that pushed the game to Spring 2018 (US Season) it seems the next game in the Red Dead franchise has received another delay.
Luckily it’s still coming in 2018 and has a date attached to thee launch now. Rockstar Games have announced today that we should be getting our hands on Red Dead Redemption 2 on the 26th of October this year, assuming there are no further development delays, but hey even if there are I’m sure it will only create a better final product as Rockstar have proven themselves time and time again releasing quality titles.
The official Rockstar statement is below:
We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26th 2018. We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.
We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.
