Mary And The Witch’s Flower To Premiere At Madman Anime Festival Melbourne

Madman have revealed today that Mary and the Witch’s Flower, the highly anticipated first feature from Studio Ponoc – A new studio founded by ex-Studio Ghibli talent, will receive its Australian premiere at Madman Anime Festival, Melbourne.

Studio Ponoc, founded by former Studio Ghibli producer Yoshiaki Nishimura and director Hiromasa Yonebayashi, the filmmaking duo behind the 2015 Oscar®-nominated When Marnie Was There. Mary and the Witch’s Flower will be the studio’s inaugural feature film.

If you’re heading to Madman Anime festival, Melbourne, you will have the opportunity to attend the premiere which takes place the AnimeLab Arena at Madman Anime Festival Melbourne on Sunday, November 5th, 2017. The screening will be in Japanese with English subtitles.

About Madman Anime Festival

Tickets to the screening are open to anyone, not just those attending the Anime Festival. Tickets to the premiere are $15 and available to purchase at the Madman Anime Festival ticket desk from 4pm – 8pm on Friday, November 3rd, or from 9am on Saturday, November 4th.
MadFest VIP pass holders will have their FREE ticket to the premiere in their VIP show bag.
