For the 5th year running, Bethesda have held their annual BE3 showcase at E3 2019 providing us with some updates on existing games, as well as revealing a couple of brand new titles.

The show started with the montage talking about how gamers continue to keep them in check and how they value player feedback.

Pete Hines welcomes Todd Howard to the stage, who thanked players for their feedback and criticism of Fallout 76 which launch last year to less than ideal conditions. Todd and the team seem determined to fix the issues with the game.

Todd then invited the project leader and art director of Elder Scrolls: Blades to the stage who revealed the Blades will be playable tonight and it will also be releasing on Nintendo Switch.

The show then gave us a number of content updates that will be coming to Fallout 76. The first being a content pack called Wastelanders.

One year after the opening of Vault 76, other humans have returned to Appalachia. Factions of Settlers and Raiders aim to make the world their own and claim a rumored fortune. Embark on a new main quest of choice and consequence, interact with characters and their unique stories, discover the faction settlements of Crater and Foundation, and collect powerful new weapons and armor. Your choices decide their fates.
Wastelanders will bring human NPC’s into Fallout 76 along with full questlines, rewards and dialogue trees. Coming free for all Fallout 76 players later this fall.

Then a new game mode titled Nuclear Winter was revealed. Nuclear Winter is an all-new 52-player PvP Battle Royale mode, free for Fallout 76 players. Get a Sneak Peek starting June 10, 2019.

Nukes have set the world ablaze and the battle to claim your spot as Overseer of Vault 51 has begun – will you be the last one standing or be consumed by the ring of fire? Rank up, unlock exclusive perks and build your C.A.M.P. to weather the storm in true Fallout fashion. Scavenge for weapons, supplies, and nukes to take on other players and creatures and earn unique cosmetic rewards.

Then came something I was hoping to see at the event. It’s been a few years since the team at Tango released The Evil Within 2 so I was keen to see what they were working on next. Shinji Mikami took to the stage to introduce a new IP, Ghostwire Tokyo giving us a brief explanation of the title before introducing the game’s creative director Ikumi Nakamura who revealed the trailer giving us our first look at the game.

Ghostwire Tokyo is a new action-adventure game brought to you by the team at Tango Gameworks.

After strange disappearances hit Tokyo’s population, it’s up to you to uncover the source and purge the city of a strange, new evil. Armed with your own mysterious spectral abilities, you will face down the occult, unravel conspiracy theories and experience urban legends like never before.

Don’t fear the unknown. Attack it.

Then game director of Elder Scrolls Online, Matt Firor came out to provide some updates on the Elder Scrolls Online before showing off an awesome CG cinematic trailer for the latest expansion Elsweyr.

It was then revealed that Zenimax Online studios will be creating a mobile title in the Commander Keen universe before showing off a new update trailer for Elder Scrolls Legends and revealing the Moons of Elsweyr expansion would be coming later this year.

Then came one of the best trailers of this E3, a new content update for the recently released RAGE 2.

Remember last year when Wolfenstein: Youngblood was announced? Well now we’ve received a bunch of new info along with a release date.

Rid Paris of its Nazi problem together with a friend in Wolfenstein: Youngblood, the first co-op game in the series’s history. Set in a twisted 1980, step into the power armor of the “Terror Twins,” Jess and Soph Blazkowicz, on a mission to find your missing father BJ.

Clean up the Parisian streets with an arsenal of weapons and abilities in online co-op or with an AI companion. Wolfenstein: Youngblood is available July 26, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Then Creative Director and Art Director of Arkane Studios hit the stage to reveal their new IP DEATHLOOP with a really cool trailer that has me very curious about the game and wondering how the final product will play.

“DEATHLOOP” transports players to the lawless island of Blackreef in an eternal struggle between two extraordinary assassins. Explore stunning environments and meticulously designed levels in an immersive gameplay experience that lets you approach every situation any way you like. Hunt down targets all over the island in an effort to put an end to the cycle once and for all, and remember, if at first you don’t succeed… die, die again.

The conference closed with an extended look at DOOM Eternal. The trailer revealed some of the new game mechanics before we were given a glimpse of how it’s multiplayer aspect would work, it’s release date and a look at it’s crazy collector’s edition. DOOM Eternal puts you in control of the DOOM Slayer as you blow apart new and classic demons with powerful weapons in unbelievable and never-before-seen worlds. Experience the ultimate combination of speed and power as you rip-and-tear your way across dimensions with the next leap in push-forward, first-person combat. DOOM Eternal launches on the 22nd of November this year.
